Editing a document after it was sent

Sent documents are locked — your client saw a specific paper and that version stays on record. Choose Revise to issue a new version; the link your client holds updates and shows a revision note.

Signed documents cannot be revised, only amended. An amendment references the original and both signatures stay intact.

The distinction matters when a job goes sideways: a revision says “ignore the old paper, read this one,” an amendment says “the old paper stands, and here is what we both agreed to change.” MeloDocs picks the right instrument for the document's state so you cannot accidentally issue the wrong one.
