The 32 document types, explained

MeloDocs ships 32 document types across the job: estimates, quotes, proposals, contracts, change orders, work orders, invoices, receipts and the rest. All of them run on the same rates, client record and math.

You will use six or eight, most jobs use four. The full list lives in Documents → New, grouped by stage.

The types are not templates — they are stages of one job sharing one set of numbers. That is why a change order knows the contract total it amends and an invoice knows the deposit already paid: the type decides which blocks appear and what the signature means, and the job supplies everything else.
